EthSign

Proposal Details

EthSign is a decentralized, versioned electronic agreement signing Dapp built with Web3 technologies.

We are trying to build a completely decentralized task-specific tool using existing protocols and networks.

  • EthSign integrate with DID protocols to natively onboard users and provide seamless UX.

    • Metamask
    • Magic. Web3 wallet that enables one click sign-in via email
    • Ceramic. Decentralized KYC file management network that can be used to for
    • ENS. Users use their private key to sign agreements
  • EthSign uses EVM compatible blockchain as public cloud, eliminate centralized server concerns.

    • Ethereum
    • Layer2. Matic Plasma and Optimism
    • EVM compatible blockchain. Fantom, NEAR, BSC, Moonbeam, Clover, Avalanche
  • EthSign encrypt and store files on trustless, distributed networks.

    • Filecoin/IPFS through Textile
    • Sia
    • Arweave

We integrates different protocols to provide flexibility, users can define which DID protocol, smart contract platform, and storage network to interact with.

EthSign can achieve all Web2 e-signing functionalities, but more compatible with Web3 and crypto.

  • DAO governance. A DAO’s identity is usually represented not by a legal entity but by their collective control over some private keys. EthSign allows DAOs to sign memos or contracts directly with their private keys without the need to establish real world entities.
  • SAFT and SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity/Token) are widely used in crypto investments. Investors and developers can now sign the agreement with the same addresses they use for token transfer.
  • Petition, Endorsement, Certification. Content x Identity = Values. A piece of content can become more valuable when it is associated with identity.
  • Import real into crypto. Agreement related with off-chain asset signed with EthSign could be traded as NFT.
