Elevator Pitch

Butter is a DAO that governs DAOs, a Metagovernance DAO.

Traction

We currently have a pilot with Aave to test delegate incentives—we expect incentives to increase delegate and voter participation. We received a grant from Aave Grants DAO in support of the pilot.

Problem

DAO delegates today have weak incentives to remain aligned with tokenholders, and DAOs are undermined by principal-agent problems that undermine progress, including:

• Self-dealing & Collusion
• Free-riding
• Resource wasting

Solution

We pay delegates to keep them accountable to tokenholders. In return, tokenholders lock tokens with us to elect them.

The result? DAO governance tokenholders can rely on to act in their collective interests.
