DAOs are, in principle, decentralized organizations – but in many of today's DAOs, many key parts of the org are still centralized to a few people. Often there are only a few people, if any, who have a holistic view of the organization.

Lobby aims to decentralize the knowledge component of DAOs to help onboard people faster and operate more efficiently. Lobby uses tokens to gate read, edit, and moderation access and to incentivize good contributions from the community.

An alpha deployment of the wiki product has seen over 4,000 wallets connected and 2,500 articles contributed from the community. Several DAOs, including ShapeShift, Gitcoin, and BitDAO have expressed interest in deploying a version of the wiki for their own DAO.
